About the event
Here’s what you need to know:
Date & Time: 2nd Saturday in each month , from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Location: Aweside Farm, The Street, Polegate BN26 6RY
Schedule:
• 11:00 AM: Arrival and introductions
• 11:15 AM - 2:45 PM: Farm activities
• 3:00 PM: Shared picnic-style lunch
What to Wear:
Comfort is key, so dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty. We strongly recommend wearing thick gloves and garments that fully cover you to protect against weeds.
Activity Level:
This is a physically engaging day; it involves manual labor with minimal heavy lifting but requires working close to the ground. We will not provide training or tools, so come prepared and make sure to stretch before and after to prevent injuries.
About the Host:
Sinead, a dedicated woman of color, single-handedly runs Aweside Farm. Supporting her aligns with BTT’s commitment to community cohesion and empowerment. This volunteer day is not only a chance to support a local entrepreneur but also a perfect opportunity to connect with each other and nature.
